The 20th November 2025 was a dark, wintery day in Abersoch with snow flurries and cold winds. Not an ideal day for a wedding you might think but for Emma & Tom's cosy, intimate wedding, it didn't matter one bit.
Emma & Tom booked my 'intimate' wedding package which was a perfect fit. With around 15 guests and the celebrations beginning late in the afternoon, 3 hours coverage was more than enough to capture this personal, winter wedding.
The wedding service was held at my local church, St Pedrog's in Llanbedrog. After the service we all made the short drive to Tremfan Hall, a fantastic little restaurant that has a long established reputation for some of the very best food on the peninsula.
Both the church and Tremfan were very dark and atmospheric, perfect for a winter wedding but offering up their own challenges to even the most seasoned & professional photographer!
After a quick assessment it became clear that bouncing flash was not an option inside Tremfan due to the dark ceilings and wood panelling which absorbed all of the light, therefore pushing the ISO levels up and shooting natural light was the only real option and the effects were warm, atmospheric photos that truly reflected the evening.
