A Local Celebration at St David's Church, Nefyn & Nanhoron Arms.
It’s always a special feeling photographing a wedding on The Llyn Peninsula and Amy & Evan’s day in Nefyn felt like just that—laid-back, heartfelt, and full of warmth. As a North Wales wedding photographer, I often travel far beyond the Llyn, but there’s something really lovely about capturing a celebration in a place so close to home.

The service was at the beautiful St David’s Church in Nefyn, with a relaxed, meaningful ceremony with approximately 60 guests. After the ceremony, we didn’t have far to go, the Nanhoron Arms is just over the road. The wedding party simply made its way across for drinks and sunshine in the beer garden at the back of the Nanhoron Arms, where the afternoon unfolded in the most easy-going way, exactly what you'd want from a relaxed summer wedding in North Wales.

With the sun still shining, we headed to Nefyn Beach beach for a few photos with Amy & Evan, a couple of bridesmaids, and the late-afternoon sunshine. It’s hard to beat the Llyn Peninsula for locations like this. We didn’t pose much, just a very quick walk and a handful of photos before heading back to the wedding for some more candid photos of the guests enjoying the afternoon.

Weddings like Amy & Evan’s are a joy to document. Local, heartfelt, full of character. It was a privilege to be part of the day, and even more so to do it right here at home.

If you’re planning a wedding on the Llyn Peninsula, in Abersoch, or anywhere across North Wales, and you're looking for relaxed, storytelling wedding photography that puts people first—I'd love to hear from you.
